caramel popcorn


1 bag of popped microwave popcorn

120g butter

1 cup sugar

6 tablespoons honey



Remove the unpopped kernels from the popcorn and place in a large bowl.

Place the butter, sugar and honey in a saucepan. Bring to boil and stir constantly for 4-5 minutes. When the caramel is browned, pour over popcorn and mix well. The caramel is VERY HOT and will burn if it gets on fingers. DO NOT pop any in your mouth until it is cooled. (trust me, I have found out from personal experience!)

Spread the popcorn on a tray to cool.  Store in an airtight container.

You could sprinkle some rock salt on the caramel popcorn for a different option.
